I led the concepting and storytelling for Bloomberg’s first-ever culture video—a 90-second piece designed to capture the essence of Bloomberg’s fast, smart, unexpected, collaborative, and bold culture.
The voiceover features 64 lines read by 35 people across 18 culturally distinct vocal styles and 5 languages, creating a tapestry of perspectives that reflects the truly global nature of the company. It became the most-watched video Bloomberg has ever produced.
Approach
We designed the piece as a fast, impressionistic stream of consciousness—spoken word intercut with bold motion design. Voices from across Bloomberg are match-cut with kinetic visuals, blending 2D, CG, color, and type to answer one question: “What is Bloomberg?”
Data becomes the core visual metaphor, behaving like dynamic particles that move, collide, and reveal form, echoing how Bloomberg transforms information into insight.
This 90-second video focuses on the unique Bloomberg corporate culture – fast, smart, unexpected, collaborative and bold. The video voiceover employs 64 lines read by 35 people, using 18 culturally distinct vocal styles, covering 5 languages — eloquently speaking to the truly global nature of our culture.
